randomness
One of the things that blogs and online relationships lack is that “face time”, I wish people would post more pics on blogs for that reason - - Michael Frost would likely call that narcissistic (he’s very suspicious and critical of internet stuff like blogs) but I would disagree hehe.
So here are some pics of me and mine over the past month.
Pics of David worshiping at the CRM conference taken by their photographer (there were 6 pics of him on the CRM leaders pic site and they all had the tag “gen x” which made us both laugh) a couple weeks ago in Estes Park
Alan and Deborah Hirsch at the CRM conference (I think I love these 2 - I tried to convince Alan to move here but I think Colorado is too tame for them hehe). I was there the night Deborah spoke and she was really fantastic.
Shayel going to school the first day
Me and Doug Pagitt (pic courtesy of James Mills - emergent cohort in Denver) a few weeks ago at a bbq in Denver - it looks like Doug and I are either having an argument, he’s rebuking me or we’re having a stare down - - but really we’re just talking about writing (I think)

ahhh such a small world. Alan and Deb are family friends of ours!
how cool
I agree pictures are fun, thanks for posting these.
Glad to hear you hooked up with Al & Deb. Deb is a wonderful communicator isn’t she!
Thanks Mak.
i’m wary of posting pictures directly on to the web of the clan, which is why i post a few on facebook, which at least gives me the illusion of image control, lol
I’m with you on the picture thing. Given that so many relationships in the EC take place online, it helps for us to be whole people with interests and lives and not just theological/missional talking heads…
well said Julie
Paul - yeah, I don’t really think about that so I forget that people do have that as a concern.
hamo - yes she is, talking with them was far too brief
hey wess! you’re welcome
