Mike made a very poignant observation about the Bible and social sensibilities. I think this point is more important than many people even realize. Acknowledging that many of our “biblical truths” are STRONGLY influenced by society and culture, allows us to form a more generous and humble apologetic and more authentic relationships with God and others.
