When we drive past big houses, David and I often remark to one another “if that family would live in a house half that size they could support an entire African village with the money they’d make and subsequently save”. Sometimes it’s a value judgment but mostly we’re “just saying…”

THIS family is actually doing it. They talk in the article about how much money the family will be making and donating but what they don’t talk about (at least not that I saw in skimming the article) is how much money they will also be saving and given their generosity in the selling of the house I have no doubt they will put the money to good use.

Of course, the selling of the house means another family will be living in that mansion - but hey, the world can’t be perfect.
