For those who aren’t aware, we have always planned to have 2 biological kids and bring a third into our family through adoption.

This will probably happen in the next few years. We haven’t really talked about it with Shayel yet because she has a horrible time with things in the future - - she just doesn’t have that concept of time. But we have generically talked about the concept of adoption.

So we were on a walk yesterday and I asked Shayel if she would want another brother or sister. She replied:

“Yes, a sister. A bigger sister like me. Maybe if there’s a big sister who doesn’t have a family, we can be her family.”

*whoa!*

that was totally spontaneous, I was pretty shocked. I thought it was super precious though.
