labyrinth 5 year old style
Shayel constructed this labyrinth with plastic cups in the living room. She must have been inspired by our labyrinth walk at the Episcopal Church a block from our house. Revolution meets twice a month at St. Paul’s and we attend there on occasion. We’re developing an affinity for St. Paul’s and really like their priest, Rev. Rob.
They’ve been so generous in allowing us to use their fellowship hall and we’re developing a neat partnership. I look forward to the future with them
Anyway, they have a neat little labyrinth that me and the girls walked through the other day when the girls and I walked to the office to pick up a key. Shayel really enjoyed it. We started by saying the Lord’s Prayer together and by that point I had lost her attention so she trotted off and followed the maze at her own pace.
So it was cool to see that the experience stuck with her to a certain degree.

Some of our members painted a cross labyrinth on a rug. Its not large enough to walk, but the toddlers love to walk around it every sunday. Its really sweet.
I love to see how children interact with labyrinths … they are so expressive. It’s really wonderful.
