you don’t bother me, you’re just boring

Smug and self satisfied arrogance is boring. I find myself no longer getting irritated by such behavior (be it from a neo atheist or a fundamentalist of any religion or even a wine snob for that matter) but rather just finding it tiresome and boring.
So when people get their panties in a ruffle because certain people won’t engage other people when the “other people” are confronting them, I think that maybe they just haven’t gotten bored with it all yet…and then I feel sorry for them.

And in the words of my apostolic covering (insert spit take here) - I think maybe they just need a hug.
