change

more thoughts from Brian…

Not all change is good

….neither is all resistence to change.

Resisting change, changes the resistor

Being resisted changes the change agent.

…this can all become a fight that is destructive or a dance that is productive

The idea of “dictation” of Scripture in light of the theology of inspiration becomes stronger the closer you get to fundamentalism but it is not, nor has ever been an orthodox view of Scripture and is actually more of a “Koranic” view within fundamentalist Islam. This idea is probably one of the most dangerous and oppressive to positive change.

change gives us the opportunity to practice virtue - the more we search for who is right, the less interested we are in who is virtuous.

Don’t get locked into reactivity - backing away from the crocodile and stepping on a cobra.

Be careful in times of tumultuous change not to become too serious - - seriousness can often lead to violence in response or reaction.

…talk amongst yourselves ;)
