I’ve been tagged

John Smulo to Rob Mac to Brother Maynard, back to “the Smu” (LOL John Smulo) to me.

1. What’s the most fun work you’ve ever done, and why? (two sentences max)

My first “real job” when I was in high school was as a waitress and I think I was probably working illegally. It was in a rural farming community of about 1200 and it just totally had that “where every body knows your name” feel to it.
2. Name one thing you did in the past that you no longer do but wish you did? (one sentence max)

I always really enjoyed ice fishing but haven’t done it since high school.

3. Name one thing you’ve always wanted to do but keep putting it off? (one sentence max)

Sky-diving

4. What two things would you most like to learn or be better at, and why? (two sentences max)

I would like to take up piano and saxophone again and get better. It’s been too many years since I played both of those and I’m sure I’m going to have to pretty much start from square 1.

5. If you could take a class/workshop/apprentice from anyone in the world living or dead, who would it be and what would you hope to learn? (two more sentences, max)

I would love to learn peace and activism from a faith perspective from Bishop Desmond Tutu. He’s one of my heroes.

6. What three words might your best friends or family use to describe you?

I cheated and asked the hubs -

brilliant, focused, compassionate (wow, brilliant, I wouldn’t have said that one, I’ve got a great hubby)

7. Now list two more words you wish described you…

Unbridled kindness

8. What are your top three passions? (can be current or past, work, hobbies, or causes– three sentences max)

I really enjoy Studying and then teaching or imparting what I have studied (and no those are not 2 separate things so get off my case already)- anything from math to kids to theology to college students.

I am passionate about taking part in visual beauty, in particular interesting art, graphic design, nature - I love seeking it, creating it and sharing it which also translates to an interest in preserving our ecosystem.

One thing that constantly gets me in trouble but I can’t escape even when I try is challenging convention, especially lately in the area of issues of justice related to the Christian faith and in particular how we treat and often mistreat people within the church context.

I really should have said coffee, talking and talking while drinking coffee but those didn’t sound as profound and sounding profound is a major passion ;)

9. Write–and answer–one more question that YOU would ask someone (with answer in three sentences max)

What is the one job you would not want to try?

stock brokering

OMG, I just figured out who you are. No wonder I instantly liked your voice when I came over here. :)

I did this one a few days ago after originally being tagged by John Smulo. Anyone dying to know my answers can page back about a week ago.

I thought about doing it again and retagging Brother Maynard, since he appears to be the original double-tagging culprit.

hehe…welcome to the world of wonder ;)

I tried to see if you had done it already but didn’t look very hard…sorry about that. I always get tagged last for things after everyone I know has already done it. no need to do it again, I’ll go find your first set.

Thanks for dropping by grace! I know I’ve said this before but I adore you and I’m so glad you have a voice “out there” in blog land
