Aliyah - almost 10 mo.
Is it really true?! 10 mo?! Holy Moly.
Aliyah is a very funny baby - she smiles pretty much all the time and loves to make other people laugh - very much like her sister in that way.
- She is cruising proficiently along furniture
- She uses some sign language: “milk” for wanting to nurse, ocasionally uses “more”, “all done” and “baby”
- She loves babies - human or doll
- She gets very excited about animals - kicks her legs and squeals
- She and Shayel have taken to chasing eachother around the house giggling like crazy as they go
- She refuses to eat anything but finger food with few exceptions
- We tried taking her off her reflux meds and that was a disaster - she’s much happier, sleeping better and nursing less often (she was nursing 1-2 times an hour) now
- She loves having things on her head and around her neck. The other day she had Shayel’s panties on her head and a scarf around her neck and was crawling around the house like that until the panties finally fell off
- She’s able to do all the normal 10 month old things
- She’s taken to pushing items around - either books, cd cases, cars, etc. when crawling or her toy piano when standing/walking
- She loves to throw and drop things, esp. food (of course)
- She waves in response (rarely initiates) which is SOOOO CUTE
- She moves to music (usually with a funky bounce movement) and makes noise in response to music and/or singing
In short, she’s developing perfectly on target and is an absolute joy - now if I could just get her to sleep through the night
… all in good time.
